NEIGHBORHOOD PILATES INC.
STUDIO POLICIES & GUIDELINES
Welcome to Neighborhood Pilates!
Our goal is to create a welcoming, respectful, safe, and enjoyable environment where everyone can move, breathe, learn, and feel at home.
These Studio Policies apply to all members, class-pack holders, private clients, guests, and participants attending classes, private sessions, workshops, meditation, sound healing, and other Neighborhood Pilates events.
By participating at Neighborhood Pilates, you agree to follow these policies and any reasonable safety instructions provided by our instructors and staff.
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED
Advance reservations are required for group classes and may be required for private sessions and special events.
Because our classes have limited capacity, your reservation represents a commitment to attend.
Please reserve your class through our Mariana Tek booking system.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible so another client has an opportunity to attend.
Drop-ins are welcome, but not guaranteed if the class is full.
CANCELLATION & NO-SHOW POLICY
Neighborhood Pilates understands that plans change. We simply ask that you give us as much notice as possible.
Our cancellation window is: 2 hours before class starts
Cancellations made before the applicable deadline will not be subject to the studio's late-cancellation policy.
Cancellations made after the deadline and/or no-shows will result in:
A late-cancellation fee of $15
A no-show fee of $20
You will not lose your credit
This applies to all participants, whether you have a membership, class-pack, single drop-in, private session, or event credit.
The late-cancellation and no-show policy applies consistently unless Neighborhood Pilates determines that an exception is appropriate.
This policy does not limit any cancellation, refund, disability, death, or other rights provided by applicable law.

ARRIVING FOR CLASS
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before class whenever possible, particularly if you are new to the studio.
For safety reasons, an arrival of 10 minutes past the start of class may result in being unable to participate if the instructor determines that joining after instruction has begun would be unsafe or disruptive.
If you arrive late, please check with the instructor before entering or beginning an exercise.
FIRST-TIME PARTICIPANTS
New clients should arrive early enough to complete any required registration, waiver and health information screenings before class begins.
Your instructor may provide additional equipment or safety instructions before your first class.
Please let your instructor know that you are new to Pilates so we can help you get comfortable with the equipment and class format.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
For Reformer Pilates, fitted or close-fitting athletic clothing is generally recommended so that clothing does not become caught in equipment or interfere with movement.
Grip socks are required for all classes.
Please avoid clothing, jewelry, accessories, or other items that could interfere with safe equipment use.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Please keep personal belongings in designated areas.
Neighborhood Pilates is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be waived.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables into the studio.
PILATES EQUIPMENT
Pilates equipment is sophisticated exercise equipment and must be used carefully.
Members and guests may use equipment only as instructed by a Neighborhood Pilates instructor.
Please do not:
Adjust equipment in a way you have not been instructed to use;
Move or modify equipment without permission;
Attempt advanced exercises without appropriate instruction;
Allow children to play on or around equipment;
Stand, sit, or climb on equipment except as instructed;
Use equipment for purposes for which it was not designed; or
Continue using equipment that appears damaged or unsafe.
Please notify an instructor immediately if you notice damaged, loose, broken, or malfunctioning equipment.
The applicable Balanced Body Equipment Usage, Instructions and Safety Guides is available on their website (https://www.pilates.com/) and linked below.
